10 Easy Ways To Save Money At Target

Who doesn't love Target? Ok, there's probably a percentage of Husbands and Boyfriends who aren't as easily thrilled at the thought of spending half the day at one of the world's greatest stores. However, we can all agree that saving money at Target is always a good thing!

There are several hidden secrets that the world may not know about. For example, did you know you can get a discount for bringing your own reusable shopping bag? Here are some of the best ways to save money while shopping at our favorite retail store, Target:

1. Coupons

Target coupons are obviously the first and smartest option. You can check the official Target website for discounts and coupons. You may also find Target coupons on third-party apps such as Coupons.com

2. Target Mobile App - Deals Go Live on Sundays

Target used to have two separate apps. The Target app and the Cartwheel app. They have since combined the two apps so now you can shop via the app and also find great cartwheel offers within the app to save more money! Don't forget to check the app every Sunday when new deals go LIVE! Download the Target app HERE!

3. Bring a Reusable Bag For A Discount

Each time you shop at Target, they offer a 5-cent discount for each reusable bag you use. You can purchase a Target reusable bag or bring your own!

4. Combine Your Coupons

Target Corporate

There are rarely any stores left that allow you to do this, but Target is one of them. You can use Target coupons, third-party coupons, and the Cartwheel app coupons all in one sitting. If you play your cards (or coupons) right, you may end up receiving an item for free!

5. Sign Up For RedCard

By signing up for the Target REDCard, you get 5% cash back on every purchase. They have both a credit and debit card option. So this is great if let's say you're not ready to commit to a credit card, but you still want to get the 5% savings. You can get the debit card, which links to your bank account. It also gets you free shipping when you order from Target.com and an additional 30 days to return items. You can apply HERE!

6. Check the End Caps of each Aisle for Deals

The Coupon Project & Jake Secula

You will find most discounted items and many clearance items at the end caps of each aisle. Don't forget the aisles in the middle of the store between furniture and kitchen goods! You'll find lots of great hidden deals!

7. Target's Price Matching Guarantee

Target will match the price if you buy a qualifying item at Target then find the identical item for less at Target.com, select online competitors, or in Target’s or competitor’s local print ad. Price matches may be requested at time of purchase or within 14 days after purchase. The full list of online competitors is available online or at Guest Services. 8. Target Bullseye's Playground and Dollar Spot

If you've never noticed the Bullseye's Playground at Target, then you must be looking at the ground every time you enter a Target! The Bullseye's Playground and Dollar Spot is typically located at the entrance near the clothing side of the store. Here you will find amazing deals on seasonal items, discounted items and even BOGO Free offers! You can also shop the Bullseye's Playground online HERE!

9. Stack Dollar-Off Manufacturer Coupons and Percent-Off Target Store Coupons.

According to the Krazy Coupon Lady, "There are two types of “Cartwheel offers” — really, coupons — in the Target app. The first are percent-off coupons and the second are dollar-off manufacturer coupons. One big difference between them is the number of times each can be redeemed. Percent-off coupons may be redeemed up to four times per transaction and dollar-off manufacturer coupons are single-use.

In other words, if I’m buying four bags of cat litter, I will save 20% off each bag when I add one Cartwheel offer. But if I buy two Pampers Baby Dry diapers, I will only save $2.00 on one package when I add one $2 off Pampers manufacturer coupon."

Not only can you stack multiple coupons at Target, but you can also use coupons on discounted items. Not many retail stores allow this, but Target does!

10. Utilize Their Gift Registry

Whether you're setting up a gift registry for a wedding, baby shower, college, housewarming or even a custom registry, Target has some great incentives with their program. For baby & wedding registries, you’ll receive a 15% off coupon for use toward remaining items on your registry valid for one transaction at a Target store and for one order on Target.com. The coupon expires 6 months after your event date.

Approximately one week after you create a college registry, you’ll receive a 15% off promotion code valid for one Target.com order. Some restrictions apply.

Target gift registry also offers GROUP GIFTING, where multiple gift givers can contribute towards a eGiftCard or any item over $100. Set up or search a Target gift registry HERE!
